How to get to Vienna

The Vienna International Airport (VIE) is located about 20 km south-east of Vienna. From the airport there are different ways to get into the city centre area:

 

non-stop by City Airport Train (CAT) to "Wien-Mitte" (approx. 16 min., 11 € single, 19 € return ticket if you buy it online, respectively 12 € single, 21 € for the return ticket at the ticket machine at the Airport, www.cityairporttrain.com/en/home)

 

S7 Express Train (approx. 25 min., 4.20 € single ticket, www.wien.info/en/travel-info/to-and-around/airport-to-center/express-train-s7) to "Wien-Mitte" or and "Wien-Nord (Praterstern)"

 

Vienna Airport Lines (VAL) to several destinations ("Hauptbahnhof" or "Morzinplatz (Schwedenplatz)" recommended, see www.viennaairportlines.at/en, approx. 25 to 35 min., 8 € single 13 € return ticket)

 

Airport Shuttle Service / pre-ordered Taxi (approx. 35 min., 30-35 € single ride, www.airportdriver.at/en) brings you directly to any address in Vienna

By Train

By Bus

A smart and economical way to travel to Vienna is by using Flixbus (www.flixbus.at), which arrives a the busterminal in "Wien Erdberg". From there you can continue with metro "U3" (10-15 min to city center)
